Billets: Billets are one of the intermediate products of steel rolling. The billet is longer than a hand-held bullion and its cross-section is less than 230 cm. Its cross-section is a circle or square with less than 15 cm wide.
Slabs: Slabs are rectangular in contrast to billet and bloom and are usually 230 mm thick, 1.25 m wide and 12 m long. Slabs are the raw material of steel sheet making.
Bloom: Bloom is similar to a Billet but is more than 15 cm wide and cross section less than 230 cm. That is why Bloom and Billet are usually grouped together. Bloom ingots are used for making rails, tee section, studs, cans, beams and more.
