A US media outlet quoted Zionist officials as claiming that the Israeli prime minister, during his visit to Washington, would urge the US president to put more pressure on Iran.
According to the international group Tasnim News Agency, Axius News Agency reported on Monday night, quoting Israeli officials, that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett intends to unveil his new policy towards Iran during his meeting with US President Joe Biden on Thursday.
"The new Israeli government has just completed its review of its policy towards Iran and has developed a comprehensive strategy to counter Iran's nuclear program and regional actions," a Zionist official told Axius.
According to Israeli officials, Naftali Bennett has decided to formally raise his concerns about Iran during his visit to Washington and to ask Biden to prioritize issues related to Iran.
"Following the suspension of the nuclear talks and the White House's involvement in the Afghan crisis, Israeli officials are concerned about the concerns that have led Naftali Bennett to travel to Washington despite internal crises, including the re-emergence of the Corona virus in the occupied territories," Axius said. "They are concerned that Iran is developing its nuclear program without pressure from Washington and its European allies."
"Israeli officials are concerned that the United States and its European allies are not working on a B-plan that could be used if negotiations fail," it said.
"The speed of uranium enrichment [in Iran] is worrying and we are witnessing regional actions everywhere in Iran," an Israeli official told Axius. "This will be at the heart of the talks with President [Biden]."
