According to Metals News, the global production of aluminum during July 2021 reached 5 million 750 thousand tons, which compared to June 2021 with a production of 5 million 570 thousand tons, has increased slightly.
On the other hand, according to the World Bureau of Metals Statistics WBMS, the global deficit of aluminum from the beginning of January to the end of June this year was one million and 21 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the production of this product in 2020 recorded a production surplus of 1,193,000 tons. However, in July of this year, the production of this metal increased.
China, the world's largest aluminum producer, rose from 3,120,000 tonnes in July 2020 to 3,340,000 tonnes in the same period this year. It also saw a growth in production compared to the previous month.
Imports of Chinese aluminum and aluminum products in July this year increased by 37.1 percent over the same period last year to more than 469 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the amount of import of this product in China during June 2021 was 454,397 tons. In addition, China's aluminum exports reached 3.90 million tons in July this year, an increase of 12.7 percent over the same period last year.
