Germany's Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Wednesday urged Iran to return to the nuclear talks as soon as possible, without mentioning the continued misdeeds of the United States in withdrawing from the 2018 international JCPOA deal and continuing European inaction in this regard, according to Mehr news agency.
"We are ready to resume nuclear negotiations, but this timeframe is not endless," the german foreign ministry spokesman said.
Kazem Gharibabadi, the Islamic Republic's ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, had earlier stated in an interview: "The United States and the Western parties, in order to advance and finalize the understanding and finalize it, as well as the lifting of some sanctions, insisted that a clause in the ministerial statement on further discussions in the future be included on three issues: First, further measures to effectively strengthen Iran's economic relations and international trade include changes in U.S. sanctions policy. Second, ensuring the benefits of non-proliferation of the JCPOA in the long and third, steps to support and strengthen regional security among the Gulf states, including de-escalation and confidence-building measures through dialogue in the region. Apart from the fact that the second issue does not have a place of Arabs, because the timings in the JCPOA are clear and this can become the basis for laying out new commitments and timings. The third issue was completely at odds with the objectives and agenda of the talks, so the Iranian delegation immediately rejected the request.
In fact, the U.S. and the Westerners sought their own goals. This showed that they continue to view the nuclear understanding as a bridge to other unrelated issues such as regional and missile issues. The series went even further, insisting that their demands be somehow included in the text. Their goal is to come to these issues immediately after any understanding, considering it an integral part of the nuclear understanding and paving the way for their interventions in these areas, and wherever they fail to achieve their goals, to blame Iran and pave the way for pressure on Iran under other pretexts.
