In general, various roofing methods can be divided into 3 groups: beamed roofs, composite roofs, and concrete slabs. The group of the composite roofs consists of four types of roof .

composite roof features :

 

1.composite roof transfer itself unilaterally. This roof is a combination of steel beams and concrete slabs.

Disadvantages of composite roof :

 

 Composite roofing has a higher cost than common beams, blocks and chromite roofs due to the high cost of false workmanship. however , the administrative speed of the composite roofs is greater than the tiles , blocks and chromite .But due to the heavy fabrication and the need for angling, the project will take longer to complete. composite roofs are not an appropriate option for the ceiling of residential projects because of vibration . Unless all the secondary and main beams are piled during concreting, in which case the simultaneous implementation of several roofs is eliminated or will be associated with many problems. 

 

 

Kermit composite roof :

 

Conventional composite systems are made with open beams and usually put together with a sheet of steel sheathing on the concrete . In this system , the mold is permanent And the pieces of life are not surrounded by concrete . Common composite systems in Iran that are used with simple beams or honeycombs with sheet beams are not open-ended. In Kermit composite roof, due to the light weight of the roof and the reduction of the load on the joists, the execution of long openings has been done with more confidence.And the concrete stress will remain very low like all kermit roof systems and the resistance coefficient of the ceiling is high .

Ability to run multiple ceilings simultaneously : Due to the fact that there is no piling in the Kermit roof system . practically , a few roofs can be prepared for concrete At the same time, he carried out concreting operations on the roofs. This is very cost effective and suitable for buildings with high floors or low infrastructure. 

 

integrity of the roof and the skeleton : Due to the welding of the beams to the skeleton, after taking the concrete, the roof and the skeleton are integrated and can act like a rigid diaphragm. In concrete structures, by considering special hooks, more integration is possible.

 

Ability to delete caches : according to the integrity of the roof and the skeleton , the caches can be removed . Eliminating scratches, in addition to saving steel consumption, makes the roof more uniform And minimizes joinery operations. 

 

Low stress in concrete : Due to the static nature of the beams the tension in the concrete is very low. Loading tests on kermit roofs whose final strength of concrete was less than the desired value, showed that low-strength concrete does not damage the load-bearing capacity of the roof.

 

Possible to design and implement the roof with specific openings and openings : In Kermit roof system, it is possible to design and execute a roof with long openings and heavy loads So far, a roof with an opening of 12.5 meters and also a roof with a load intensity of 7 tons per square meter has been implemented In each case , the loading tests confirmed the safety of the ceiling .
