The World Steel Association, referring to the growth of about 10 percent of Iran's steel production during the first seven months of this year, announced that the country is known as the tenth largest steel producer in the world.
According to Metals News, the World Steel Association announced in a report that Iran's steel production during the first seven months of this year has grown by 9.9 percent and reached 17 million and eight thousand tons. Iran's steel production in the same period last year was announced at 16 million and two thousand tons.
Iran's steel production has grown by about 10 percent this year, while the country is under the toughest US sanctions as well as the effects of the Corona virus outbreak. Earlier, international institutions, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, announced the easing of the effect of sanctions on the country's economy and the return of Iran's economic growth despite the sanctions.
According to this report, in the first seven months of this year, Iran has been able to become the tenth largest steel producer in the world, higher than many industrialized countries. In this regard, China with 649.3 million tons of steel was the largest producer of this product during the first 7 months of this year. Of course, India with 68 million tons and Japan with 56.1 million tons are ranked second and third, respectively.
