One week ago, the former Washington ambassador to occupied Palestine was reportedly appointed senior adviser to the US State Department on Iran.
According to the Mehr news agency, the Axius website, quoting an informed source, announced that Dan Shapiro, the former US ambassador to occupied Palestine, had joined the Iranian team of the US State Department. He is scheduled to serve as senior adviser on Iran-related issues at the ministry.
This can be assessed in light of the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to Washington last week and the presentation of an anti-Iranian plan to Biden, especially since the US President has claimed that if the solution he considers diplomatic towards Iran fails, he will not use it. There are no other options.
Shapiro apparently has a good relationship with Zionist officials, including Bennett, and could play a key role in any negotiations on Israeli Prime Minister Plan B.
The Axis website has previously said that the Zionists call this strategy "death with thousands of small wounds" and involves confronting Iran by combining very small actions on various military and diplomatic fronts, rather than a fierce attack.
Shapiro is said to have been working part-time since last week as senior financial adviser to US envoy Robert Mali on Iran.
It is also said that Shapiro, despite not meeting with the Zionist delegation, was in Washington during the meeting between Bennett and Biden and in some cases advised the US State Department.
During his tenure, he is expected to spend half his time in Washington and the other half in occupied Palestine. One of his tasks is to participate in discussions between the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, the foreign ministries and the regime's war in order to further promote the necessary coordination in close talks on Iran.
