Afghanistan's foreign minister has called on the international community to boycott the Taliban, which is vulnerable to international sanctions.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Afghan Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar has called on the international community to boycott the Taliban.
Referring to the war attacks and the actions taken by the Taliban, the Afghan Foreign Minister described the attacks as violating the commitments made by the Taliban under the February 2020 Doha agreement.
Atmar called on the United States and other countries to respond to the group by reviving UN sanctions against Taliban leaders.
The Afghan Foreign Minister also called for a military response from the international community to the Taliban, saying that Taliban attacks were a threat not only to Afghanistan but also to international peace and security.
According to the Afghan Foreign Minister, Taliban attacks on cities have destabilized the region and the international community, as these attacks will increase the number of Afghan refugees on the one hand and the influx of more foreign militants into Afghanistan on the other.
