A briquette is a substance produced from compressing and combining coal dust or other materials such as sponge iron, pleated iron and iron shards and sponge iron soil. Briquette making has two general methods of cold briquette making and hot briquette making, which we will examine together with cold briquette making.
In this method, we import materials at ambient temperature into the briquette making machine. The output materials of this machine are proportional to the type of input materials of two types, these two types of products are sponge iron soft briquette and cold briquette sponge iron.
A type of briquette whose raw materials are sponge iron and produced by direct reclamation at low temperatures is called cold briquette (CBI). Cold briquette of sponge iron corrects the defects of sponge iron to some extent and can be added to those alloying elements during production.
As mentioned earlier, cold briquette is obtained by direct reclamation of sponge iron. After the sponge iron is revived, they mix the revived sponge iron with water and glue and put it under very high pressure inside the briquette machine. As a result of these pressures on mixed materials, cold briquette of sponge iron is obtained.
